The Topo Chico countdown has begun.  And just in time.  I only have one…that’s right…ONE Topo Chico left in the fridge to hold me over until tomorrow when I make my monthly run to Vallarta’s Mexican Grocer in Escondido.  I hope I can make it.  I know I have faced some tough challenges in my life but this is one of the toughest…

Topo Chico has become my favorite beverage of choice.  I’m not quite sure when this love affair began between me and an ice-cold bottle of carbonated water, but I am full on addicted.  I have tried other mineral waters but they all pale in comparison to a Topo Chico.  It just does it for me!

Many people have addictions to soda pop and therefore can gain weight, get headaches, and/or experience low-blood sugar a few hours after indulging in a sugar-laced soft drink.  I am fortunate that I have never experienced an addiction to any decadent soft drinks. Many soft drinks and carbonated beverages are laced with sugar, caffeine, artificial colors, artificial flavors, artificial sweeteners, and/or high fructose corn syrup.  No, my addiction is to something far more exciting!  A plain or lime Topo Chico can make my whole day a vacation in one sip.
